Spiritual warfare is a reality in the Christian life, and the first step to winning it is keeping Christ at the centre. In this message, Apostle Kenneth Makopo reminds us that Jesus said He would build His Church, so we must never take His place in His house. Like John the Baptist, we say, “He must become greater; I must become less” (John 3:30). Our future is in His hands, and nothing can be accomplished without Him. The devil is aggressive, coming to steal, kill and destroy, and he often targets our areas of weakness. That is why we must understand ourselves, stay spiritually alert, and not be ignorant of the disappointment and betrayal that can come in relationships and in our walk with God. The enemy also uses discouragement and negative thoughts as weapons to weaken our faith. But we are not helpless. Stand firm, resist the devil in the name of Jesus, and “take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ” (2 Corinthians 10:5). Fill your mind with God’s Word and prayer, and encourage yourself in the Lord, even in difficult seasons. Our strength is not in ourselves but in the Lord Jesus Christ. Tune in to learn how to keep Christ at the centre, resist the enemy and guard your mind with the Word of God.
